Or two months, depending on how you count.
She has been being pretty good for me, at least most of the time, since Stephen has been gone. I, of course, appreciate this greatly! I'm not being driven mad by the lack of adult company just yet anyways! I think it helps that I don't have someone begging to eat mac and cheese every night and only talking about Dora the Explorer yet. I can eat my lemon saffron rice and artichoke with balsamic garlic aioli if I want to! (And I am!)
It's hard to believe it's been two months already! I can see the growing she has been doing since her 1 month pictures though.
According to the weather report today, it was supposed to be rainy all day. I started the day by deep cleaning the master bedroom (I'm trying to deep clean one room per day while Stephen is gone- it will be beautiful and clean for him when he gets back. And I get to enjoy the clean house in the meantime.) but took a break around lunchtime to talk to my Grandma Peggy. It was so nice to see her, and for her to be able to see Sophia. And also just to talk to someone who can respond back with more than "ahh?". Afterwards, we all ate and I got my girls ready and we went to the dog park. Violet has been being a really good girl, but I could tell she was feeling restless. She deserved to go and run around and play a bit! I was worried about getting caught in the imminent rain, but we stayed for a long while and only on our way home did I see a few drops. Soon after we got home, it did start to rain pretty heavily. My iPhone apparently is hooked up to the emergency broadcast system and warned me about flash floods! It stormed, but I haven't seen any waves. Sophia had a little fussy period this evening, but we got her calmed down and I had a nice dinner and made some cookies for desert.
Tomorrow I am planning to take girls to go to a farmers market, visit my friends at work, and go to a different dog park down closer to Austin. And possibly go to a cupcake shop that was featured on the food network. I did just make cookies... but who can say no to a cupcake? I'm trying to make sure that Violet gets her exercise and can get all her energy out so that when I take Sophia and myself on a daytrip to Dallas later this week, she'll be content just relaxing here at home.
