Sophia let me sleep in until 7:30 this morning (an extra hour!) and then she and I went to a few yard sales around town. I only spent 60 cents and didn't find what I was looking for, but it reminded me of going to yard sales with my mom, so I enjoyed it. I had only had a light breakfast before we left, so when we got back home I decided to have a bowl of cereal. Sophia didn't want to sit in her little chair by herself, so I brought her up on the couch I was sitting on and sat her next to me with my arm around her for support. After a few minutes, I noticed she was very interested in my cereal. She was not only looking at the bowl and the spoon, but was actually licking the bowl. I tried to get a picture with my computer of this in action but was only mildly successful. Here are a few pictures I did get:
What a funny girl! She will be 4 months old on Monday, so its not surprising that she is beginning to take an interest in new foods. She is holding her head up very well and is able to sit up with only minimal assistance for short periods of time. She is growing fast!
We also took her to the pool for the first time this past week. She seemed to have a pretty good time, and of course she looked absolutely adorable.
She was very relaxed in the water and liked stomping her feet while standing a lot! I think she tried to splash with her hands, but maybe she was just moving her hands and happened to splash. Who knows! She'll be doing it on purpose soon!
