Ikea Pittsburgh

Today we took a little road trip to ikea in Pittsburgh. It was enjoyable, as going to ikea always is, but it made me miss my ikea in Texas. It was just across the street from my work and sometimes I would just get a little treat or something to eat and it wasn't that big of a deal. Not a toll road traveling, hour and 45 minute kind of trip. Sophia likes ikea a lot- there is always lots to see and lots of things to play with and on.

We ate at a Mexican restaurant called don Pablo's before we went in and I got a kids quesadilla for Sophia. It was HUGE. I was expecting a burito size tortilla folded in half with some cheese melted in the middle. What we got was a tortilla that was 2x the size of the plate with a ton of melted cheese. Not that Sophia minded. We cut up one of the four slices into bits and were helping her eat it but she didn't want help! We sat her back down in her high hair and she was going to town on the bits of quesadilla and squash that I gave her from my fajitas. All of a sudden, she picks up an entire slice and begins chewing in it. I was nervous at first but we kept a close eye on her and she was actually taking small reasonable bites and really loving feeding herself. So we let her (carefully supervised, of course).

I think Pittsburgh ikea is smaller than round rock, but there was some new things I hadn't seen before (it was been at least 2 months since I've gone in an ikea). My favorite was a moose rocker for kids.

Sophia liked it too.
