January thus far

Well sadly daddy left for to Kosovo on Sunday. We are very proud of our brave soldier and can't wait to hear from him next month (fingers crossed)! He's going to be in Germany training and then they will go to Kosovo in febuary. 

Sophia and I are keeping busy going places, seeing friends, and doing things. She has been eating more and more finger foods on her own and is less and less interested in being fed. I did not realize this day would come so soon! She has been trying to steal my food even more often lately!

Today we went to meet a friend of mine at the Hudson library. I met her at college and she has since moved to Cambodia, married a very nice Nigerian man, and had an adorable baby named Emika. They are visiting her family for a couple months so hopefully this won't be the only time we get together! Sophia and a had a great time and the babies got along well. Everyone was well behaved and it was so nice to be with a family the same age.
